uOttawa welcomes
Women Engineers Moving Up in Ontario!
Join us for a workshop for middle career women engineers from academia, industry or government.
Together, we will discuss strategies for career progression and advancement to leadership in a competitive environment. Learn about recent statistics, social science research and development efforts for the advancement of women engineers. Industry-university collaborations are one way of extending our networks and fostering success: we will hear from NSERC about funding programs and learn from women who have had success in this area. Other hands-on activities will include practicing our communication skills in the context of male-dominated technical fields, trading effective practices for work/life balance and small group career planning with experienced mentors and managers.
